Tere Liye- Keeping flames of love burning

Have you ever heard of a tale of true love? if you have then I suppose you must know already about VEER and ZAARA. Two names which were not allowed to be taken together. Veer Pratap Singh a.k.a Veer who sacrificed his life just only to guard the honour of the woman he loved. He spent 22 years in prison as कैदी नंबर 786 and never uttered a single word about anything.

We too sometimes in life, feel moonlight in the day, we don't understand which way life is moving. We often hear unheard voices in our ears and our heart wonders what these events foretell. But maybe we are too scared to express what we feel. For some of us, the word "Love" is synonymous with "pain". But there is something that feels so good about sharing your life with somebody. About enjoying spending time with somebody even when you just sit around and talk about nothing. Love might be too rough around the edges, grazes against the most tender parts of your heart. Sometimes it brings you pain. But isn't it always worth in the end? Never be afraid of taking chances. Our experiences help us to grow and they make us who we are.

TERE LIYE- The song is about reliving the memories just by looking at someone you love. It teaches us that the branches of memories sprout innumerable blossoms of past moments. As life flows in wave after wave at once new, also the same. Life encompasses love and desire. Meeting and also parting and a sense that time is flowing like a river.

ज़िंदगी, ले के आई है
बीते दिनों की किताब
घेरे हैं, अब हमें
यादें बे-हिसाब
.
Life has brought me a volume of old times. Young Veer and young Zaara are depicted as cheerful about life. Their emotions express their hopes about love and life just like other lovers. While old Veer and old Zaara kept countless memories inside their heart for 22 years and hence, meeting each other after a long time they are surrounded by those memories just by looking at each other.

बिन पूछे, मिले मुझे
कितने सारे जवाब
चाहा था क्या, पाया है क्या
हमने देखिए
.
Zaara expresses her pain through her eyes that Veer, I never gave up on you. I remember when you said "There's a man across the border who will give his life for you" what you have done for me can never be repaid but Veer you don't have to be so hard on yourself. I don't blame you. I never blamed you for anything. I have now found all the answers I sought. But Veer throughout my life I kept thinking what wrong we did? we never wanted things to go like this? we never asked for this.

.
The world has been cruel to me Veer. The world never understood our love. I was ordered to live without you but I survived those 22 years only for you. Now, seeing you today makes me feel that all that pain and suffering was worth it. To which Veer replied that you are not unknown to me and its very foolish of them to say like that. One silly mistake of yours helped get me going through the rest of my life. I kept two moments of your life with me. Whatever I did, I kept you in my heart. Without you, life was tough for me. But that didn't stop me from loving you more, Zaara. The flame of love kept burning inside my heart only for you. I have lived all these days for you with my lips sealed, with my unshed tears. I can still fight the world for you. I can still sacrifice myself for our love.

This song leaves a remarkable impact on the viewers. Veer and Zaara suffered throughout their life for their love and unification. They believed in their love. They trusted their partner.
At the end of the movie, Veer recited a magnificent poem(I'm attaching the clip below) which he wrote for the people he cared about in his life. It's a sweet poem that shows Veer still hoped that one day he might get Zaara back. He never lost faith. Thankyou Veer, for teaching us all how to love and what true love is. Thankyou Zaara, for bearing the cruelty of the world. Thank you for making my childhood memorable by giving countless memories with this movie. You'll both be remembered in our hearts.
